Art by Rart and Sete.
Rart and Sete are Contemporary British artists who have received critical acclaim for their contemporary sculpture and painting.
Rart and Sete have exhibited alongside artists such as GILBERT & GEORGE - BOB & ROBERTA SMITH – FRANKO B - MARK McGOWAN – GAVIN TURK – ADAM DANT - DOUGLAS PARK – HARRY PYE – INGRID Z – DAVID HOCKNEY - SADIE FROST – JESSICA VOORSANGER – TIM NOBLE - THE LITTLE ARTISTS – ORIANA FOX – LOUISE CAMRASS - JENS LUCKING – GIDEON CUBE-SHERMAN
Plus many other artists, poets, comedians and various others who they cannot remember due to alcohol induced stupor.
With a penchant for dark humour, their assemblages speak of taboo subjects not commonplace within the sphere of the contemporary and modern art gallery scene.
Often shunning their own Private Viewing nights and sometimes the whole exhibition, Rart and Sete show a blatant disregard for commercialism and conformity.
Billed variously as Conceptual, Modern, Contemporary or Controversial, Rart and Sete refuse to allow themselves or their artwork to be pigeon holed, showing a diverse range of talents from Installations to Sculpture, Oil painting and water colour artwork.
They use an eclectic range of contemporary materials from household items to surgical implements and specialist contemporary artist materials.
They have exhibited across the whole length and breadth of Britain, the UK and abroad. Their artworks have been seen in a vast range of exhibition spaces such as:
Established conservative Galleries, Commercial Galleries, radical contemporary and modern Galleries, British and International Museums, Universities, Public Spaces, Web based Galleries, Abandoned Warehouses, West End London Commercial Offices, Design Studios and just about everywhere in between.
They have produced work that enlightens, infuriates and, in a number of instances, provoked physical attack on the opening night.
